I want to improve game performance (fps) by as much as possible
What can i do that wouldn’t cost any money?
What would be the best part to buy for my computer (graphics card, CPU, hard drive, etc.) which would help my fsx performance the most?
My sons Nintendo DS is laying idle now he has a PSP and i would like a decent flight simulation game/ air combat to play on this winter. My son is into role playing /strategy games therefore he cant make any recommendations on the type of game that i want.

I was going to buy a flight sim. I have heard about Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Does anybody know if this is the latest one available? And also, is it better just to get the gold edition, rather than the normal one and the expansion (I take it Gold = Normal game + Acceleration Expansion).

My dad has decided he’d like to try a flight sim. He never plays games so is a complete novice. I think he would prefer WWII era if possible.
Current spec :
AMD XP1600+
GF2 64Mb Graphics
384MB DDR memory
What flight sim should he get?
The craft was triangular and 3d. The land was simplistic. It was easy to play. But remember it was fun. It was on the school computer.
